Autumn 2021 Exams

Ofqual has confirmed that students who receive a teacher assessed grade for their Eduqas qualification this summer will be eligible to take GCSE, AS or A level exams in the same subject in autumn 2021. Students who we believe would have sat exams in summer 2021, had they not been cancelled, may also sit exams in this exceptional series.

These exams will run alongside our standard November GCSE exams series, in which Eduqas GCSE English and Maths are additionally available to any candidates who have reached the age of 16 on or before 31 August 2021.

The Department for Education has published autumn 2021 series guidance for centres in England:

• Exam Support Service - Exam fees, venues and invigilators
• Exam centre responsibilities for students retaking qualifications from summer 2020 and summer 2021

When will exams take place?

You can find out when Autumn 2021 exams will take place, and a range of support information, on our Key Dates and Timetables webpage.

Adaptations

Specific adaptations will only have been made to subjects where they had previously been in place for summer 2021.

You can find out further information about adaptations, and supporting documents, via your qualification page and this adaptations document.

Non-examination assessment (NEA)

There will be no non-exam assessments (NEA). Grades will be determined on student performance in exams only. The only exception to this is art and design where we will set and mark a new task.

Private candidates

JCQ have added information to their website that will allow you to find an exam centre accepting GCSE and GCE (AS and A Level) candidates for the Autumn 2021 series.
