Our learners have approached their exams with increased optimism, while our staff members are happy and engaged with the qualification.”

Continued growth in English qualifications

Eduqas’ popularity extends beyond mathematics. In 2025, the awarding body recorded over 96,000 entries for GCSE English Language and over 59,000 entries for GCSE English Literature, reinforcing the trust schools place in Eduqas to deliver high-quality, accessible qualifications across core subjects.

Their GCSE English qualifications offer a selection of texts that blends well-loved classics with a rich variety of diverse voices, empowering teachers to choose works that truly resonate with their learners. Furthermore, their exam questions are flexibly designed, allowing multiple approaches so learners can play to their strengths.

Reflecting on their English qualification is, Rebecca Walker, Curriculum Head of Maths and English, South Devon College: "The way Eduqas structures their questions allows students to demonstrate their understanding in a way that's more accessible to them."
