Eduqas partners with RNIB Bookshare initiative

Eduqas is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) as part of their Bookshare initiative.

The initiative provides a comprehensive collection of educational materials for learners with print disabilities. This approach enables learners who cannot access standard print, including those with dyslexia and who are blind or partially sighted, to read the same books as their peers, giving them the same educational opportunities.

Discussing this partnership is Melanie Blount, Head of Digital Resources at Eduqas: “As an organisation, we are committed to providing materials that are accessible to all learners. We are extremely proud to team up with RNIB. This is a fantastic initiative, that ensures equality of access for learners with print disabilities.”

Over the coming months, learners will be able to access our full range of materials via the platform, which allows learners to use a variety of electronic formats to read in numerous ways including:

  • Using Dolphin EasyReader RNIB app, which allows a learner to read a title in any format
  • Access to text-to-speech software, digital braille readers and displays and in audio
  • Download materials to modify into physical braille and large print.

For further information and to access the wealth of materials, please visit the RNIB website.
