See you at the 2026 Geographical Association’s Annual Conference!

We are delighted to be exhibiting at this year's Geographical Association (GA) Annual Conference and Exhibition 2026.

Date: 8 - 10 April 2026
Venue: Sheffield City College

Hosted by the Geographical Association, this event is a great opportunity to network with other delegates and exhibitors, whilst gaining knowledge and ideas, and help increase confidence when teaching Geography.

Conference content

This year’s conference theme, ‘Geography makes a difference’, highlights how geography education helps students understand complex global issues and develop the skills and knowledge to address them.

The programme is rich and engaging, featuring over 100 lectures, workshops, teacher-to-teacher sessions, research papers, field visits, and networking opportunities, all focused on practical ideas and innovative approaches to teaching geography. Key topics include:

  • Urban Geography and fieldwork: Developing engaging approaches to human geography and fieldwork using local environments.

  • Curriculum design and progression: Creating coherent, future-focused geography curricula from primary through to GCSE and A level.

  • Inclusive classroom practice: Ensuring geography is accessible to all learners and reflects diverse perspectives, and evidence-informed teaching approaches.

Speaking at the event in a session titled “The new Welsh GCSE: making a difference in Wales, lessons to learn for England?” our Geography Subject Officer, Robin Pengelly, said:

“With the new Made-for-Wales Geography GCSE in Wales approaching the end of its first year of teaching, this session will explore lessons learned and its impact in Welsh schools so far, and the insights it offers for future GCSE reform in England. The GA Conference, as a key event for the teaching community, provides an ideal forum to share these developments, engage with a wide range of engaging and relevant topics, and support delegates in delivering geography with confidence. We look forward to joining the GA community to explore and celebrate the opportunities and challenges of our complex and ever-changing world”
