Today candidates receive their 2022 GCSE results

Today, students across the UK will receive their GCSE and Level 1/2 qualification results.

UK GCSE results

  • 98.4% of students achieved 9-1
  • A 2.5% decrease in students achieving Grade 7 or above from 2021 but an increase of 5.4% from 2019
  • Overall outcomes at the top grades are higher than 2019, when exams were last sat

Ian Morgan, Chief Executive, WJEC Eduqas commented: “Today we recognise the achievements of thousands of learners across the country. The qualifications they collect today reflect their years of studying, but also the support and guidance provided by their teachers, lecturers, families and friends.

'These results mark the beginning of their journey into a range of different paths, including further education or employment, whatever their choice, I wish them the very best in their endeavours.”
