V Levels with Eduqas

V Levels are an exciting new type of Level 3 qualification, offering learners the ability to combine vocational learning with opportunities for academic progression.

They will sit alongside A Levels and T Levels as part of the government's reformed post-16 qualifications landscape, providing learners with greater choice and flexibility.

V Levels will replace a variety of Level 3 vocational qualifications, offering a clear, coherent pathway for post-16 learners.

Eduqas is developing three V Levels for delivery from September 2027:

V Level Accounting and Finance
V Level Digital Systems and Data
V Level Education and Early Years

Further V Level qualifications will be phased in between 2027-2030, along with a complementary range of Level 2 Pathways.

Who are V Levels for?

V Levels are suitable for post-16 learners who are interested in:

applied/vocational learning
exploring a sector without specialising too early
combining vocational and academic study
keeping their progression options open.

What's next?

The government is continuing to develop the new Level 3 qualification landscape, with further V Levels planned from September 2028 through to 2030.

The list below shows what the 2028 V Level offer could look like, based on the government’s current plans. The final list of subjects and qualification titles is due to be confirmed in early 2027.
