Level 3 Tourism
The Level 3 Applied Diploma in Tourism has been approved for the DfE 2020 performance tables and is therefore available to all centres.
The Applied Certificate and Diploma in Tourism enable learners to gain essential employability skills that are valued by employers, further and higher education, including:
literacy and numeracy
critical thinking and problem solving
planning and organisation
creativity and innovation
The WJEC Level 3 qualifications in Tourism for England are designed to provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills associated with tourism organisations and activities. The qualifications will provide a broad basis for further or higher education or for moving into employment.
The Level 3 Applied Diploma in Tourism has been approved for the DfE 2020 performance tables and is therefore available to all centres. The Department for Education (DfE) has confirmed that those qualifications approved for inclusion in the 2020 performance tables will also be included in performance tables for 2021 and 2022.
Latest news for Level 3 Tourism
From May 2018 UCAS will list the WJEC Level 3 Applied Certificate (180 GLH and grades A-E) and the WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma (360 GLH and grades A*-E) as generic family qualification titles rather than individual subject titles. The following qualifications will be covered by this arrangement and have the same Tariff points as the qualifications already on the Tariff, i.e. WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma and Applied Certificate in Criminology and the Applied Diploma and Applied Certificate in Medical Science.
