Sponsored by Eduqas, the Excellence Award for Outstanding Pupil: Age 16-18 recognises exceptional students who can demonstrate creativity, technical skill, and leadership in design and technology. We are delighted to congratulate this year’s winner: Pacha Pritchard, a student at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern. Pacha is a four-time UK finalist in F1 in Schools and reached the World Finals in 2024. She has won Gold Teen Tech and CREST Awards, a two-time LEGO League UK finalist, and was named Young Engineer of the Year at The Big Bang Fair. Beyond competitions, Pacha delivered a keynote at the UK Parliament, inspiring others in sustainability and engineering, and has encouraged more young women to pursue D&T at GCSE and A-Level. Her technical excellence, creativity, and leadership make her a truly outstanding pupil and a role model for the next generation.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Jason Cates, Subject Officer for Design & Technology said:
