Will you be joining us at the Historical Association Annual Conference 2026?
We are delighted to be attending this year's Historical Association (HA) Annual Conference 2026
When? 15th – 16th May 2026
Where? Hilton Newcastle, Gateshead
Hosted by the Historical Association, this key date in the History calendar offers a fantastic opportunity for educators and history enthusiasts to come together, connect with the history community, and celebrate the richness of our past.
The two-day event offers a varied and engaging programme, including keynote sessions from leading historians, historical site visits and talks, as well as lectures and workshops tailored to both primary and secondary programmes. Delegates will also have opportunities to network, share ideas and develop innovative approaches to teach history.
Speaking about our presence at the event, our History Subject Officer, Paula Morgan, said:
“The HA Conference, as a key event for the teaching community, provides an ideal forum to explore ongoing curriculum developments, share the benefits of our GCSE History qualification, and support delegates in teaching history with confidence. We look forward to coming together with the history community to celebrate the opportunities and challenges of understanding our complex and rich past, and the insights they offer for the future of history education.”
